Ooo...I like this meme so I feel obliged to pass it on. No tagging people or anything, but I'm interested to see what others have to say.

When the Inevitable Zombiepocalypse invasion begins, who on your LJ friends list do you want in your band of ragtag survivors fighting to persevere in a world gone MAD? List who on your flist you want at your back with a machete, and explain why.

In alphabetical order:

1. baldchik - When you're fighting an army of zombies, you want a gal who knows how to properly execute a suplex and can summon forth a horde of metal-heads to bust some skulls.

2. daq42 - It would be kind of like watching steak being attacked by a pit bull. That much stored aggression is bound to cut a swath of destruction through the undead masses like a hot knife through zombie butter.

3. das_uber - Anyone who has ever played an RPG knows that every party needs a healer. When you've got a full-fledged doctor on your f-list, you'd be stupid *not* to bring them with you. Plus I suspect the man is dangerous with a d20.

4. jericho_the_dog - Though currently living in the lap of luxury, I'm convinced he could be trained to sniff out evil. Plus if you're going to have a pooch on your side, you might as well go with the breed you aren't actually allergic to.

5. kali921 - As "The Lost Boys" has surely taught you, every assault against the undead requires a person well-versed in their tactics (ideally this knowledge will have been learned via comic books). As the "Corey Feldman" character of the group, kali921 will provide the insight into the zombie ways necessary for success.

6. mrjustice - It's kind of like Jacki Chan's Drunken Master, only with Jagermesieter and angry Tourette's. Drunken combat boot wearing, ex-military folk who punch hard are always a good addition to the team.

7. oceanic - Come on...do you really think I'd be dating her if I didn't feel she'd have my back during a zombie apocalypse? Oh yeah, she's a bad ass in her own right

8. originalspam - The man's name is Tank, do I even need to explain this one?

9. thatritebastard - In the immortal words of Keanu Reaves in The Matrix, "I need guns...lots of guns."
